RAILWAY 1
RAILWAY was project of rail network overhaul developed for Cities: Skylines. It aimed to provide a realistic track geometry and custom civil engineering structures (bridges, tunnels and so on) to the players as a modular package, with its own ecosystem of assets.
Original project was developed by modders; egi, Simon Ryr and Ronyx in 2018. I supported the project-in-development with measurements and technical data, as it had been decided that Swiss rail infrastructure was going to be the reference standard for this mod pack. Reference gathering on my part involved personal research and travel / photographing in my free time.
The package was released in November 2018, with a total of 110+ assets, I also provided additionnal structures, such as Eglisau, Koblenz, Piacenza bridges from Switzerland and Italy respectively.
Over the course of 3+ years, Railway project became the largest network overhaul of Cities Skylines modding community and became the standard rail infrastructure package, with over 300+ assets, and multiple content creators supporting the project.

RAILWAY 2
In the late 2020, I decided to develop a sequel of original Railway project with more features and take advantage of advanced mods that have been developed since the original release.
The sequel took a different approach on track topology and features; it provided localized track topology for Europe and United States respectively, which came with their own challenges. Variable track density, new wire height and catenary standards, new engineering structures, quad tracks, customizable ballast, mainline networks with ballast and subgrade were some of the new features of the Railway 2.
Railway 2 had higher goals and more content on release, thus it required an extensive collobaration with other members of the community across the world. Multiple content creators pitched it with their own creations to support the project. Aside 3D content creations, I had the opportunity of working with actual railway personnel from various companies in order to make sure that 3D content remains on par with their real-life counterparts.
Railway 2 was released on September 21, 2021.
